January Review

In an effort to keep my website up-to-date I've decided to do a monthly recap of what I've been up to.  Hopefully this can become part of my routine, as posting on Patreon has.

My online group classes were well attended during our lockdown month - Jan 1 we listened to some new music from 2021, and the other weeks more traditional classes resumed. I looked at the song "True Love" by Cole Porter, two Sammy Davis Jr. recordings, Ray Brown's recording of "Sweet Georgia Brown" and two interesting interpretations of classical piano pieces by jazz musicians.  All of these classes are still available to Patreon members.

I also finalized one of my piano arrangements of my own compositions and added it to my SMP Press page, where you can purchase piano arrangements in PDF form.  Hopefully now that my schedule is somewhat regular I can chip away at the rest of these that I arranged over the last few years in hopes of publishing a physical book of piano scores and lead sheets.

My Patreon subscribers also got to see recorded performances of "True Love", "Chorale" and Paul Motian's "Psalm" as well as links to other shows that were streaming, on top of replays of my Monday solo livestream concerts from YouTube after their initial two weeks available to the public.

Elsewhere I have some interesting gigs coming up, as they are announced publicly I will add them to my online calendar.

Thanks for your support!

Steve
