JazzWorks and Festival Japan are thrilled to welcome one of New York’s busiest young jazz bassists, Dezron Douglas, to perform at our first evening in the “JazzWorks Presents” concert series.

Lauded by the New York Times for his “deep and soulful sound,” Douglas is one of the most in-demand young bassists in jazz today and we are very fortunate to be welcoming him to Ottawa for this brand new series of jazz events.

This event will be a trio setting with Douglas being joined by local Ottawa’ musicians, Steve Boudreau on piano and Petr Cancura on saxophones. They will play 3 sets throughout the evening – 7.30pm, 8.30pm and 9.30pm.
